FAQ

When was the Search Committee formed?

The Vice Chancellor, Provost, and Chief Academic Officer Search Committee was created in partnership with the University Senate, with the full membership  announced on January 28, 2021. The chair of the Search Committee, as appointed by Chancellor Kent Syverud, is Jamie Winders, professor of geography in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. The committee comprises representation including deans, faculty, staff, students, administrators and trustees. See the Search Committee page for a list of individual members.

Will the committee hold information sessions?

In the coming days, faculty will receive invitations to consultative sessions held in each school and college. Additional sessions will be conducted with other constituent groups. A larger, campuswide session will be held on Friday, March 19, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. ET.  In total, we intend to conduct approximately 25 sessions with members of the campus community.
